Today I am absolutely knackered; I had the bright idea of watching a documentary on The Amityville Horror last night, big mistake.
How scary!!!! They shouldn’t be allowed to show it.
Maybe it’s because I was brought up in a very religious family but I totally believe in stuff like that. I would love to watch The Exorcist but I can’t bring myself to because I know I wouldn’t be able to sleep for about a month afterwards. Even the creepy music at the beginning makes the hair at the back of my neck (not that I have a hairy neck you understand) stand on end.
Anyway, we watched the stupid documentary which finished at midnight and then went to bed. I couldn’t even take off my make up because that would mean having o go into the bathroom by myself, I could have asked hubby to come with me but then he would have laughed at me or turned of the light and grabbed my leg because, ha ha, he thinks stuff like that is really funny. So I will probably get a spot now or wrinkles or something and it’s all channel 4’s fault.
Then I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t get back to sleep because I needed a wee and was too scared to go.
So I will probably get Cystitis now or something and that will be all channel 4’s fault as well.

On an even more depressing television note, it was the last ever, ever Monarch of the Glen on Sunday night! Am gonna have to be content with watching all the repeats on Sky. This I worse than when Cold Feet finished but at least Molly finally got off with Golly. Don’t know what was wrong with the woman, she’s no getting any younger, just kiss him already.
Last night I also watched Dog the Bounty Hunter (which is my all time favourite programme apart from Lost, Cutting it and Dynasty). Man, is that guy cool. Is it a bit strange that I find him kind of sexy in an older, craggy man kind of way, sort of like Kenny Rogers, or is that just wrong?

Hubby says I’m kind of fixated with television….don’t know where he gets that idea from.

It is over and I survived, the phrase “never again” tripped of my lips on more than one occasion on Friday night. They were nutters!! I mean you expect them to be noisy but I swear these kids were NOISY.

It started well…..and then their mothers left….and it was just me and a bunch of scary 8 year olds.
My smart idea of getting them all to sit nice and quietly and watch DVD’s didn’t go down to well. They all seemed to think it was more fun to run around the house screaming like banshees and leaving a trail of death and destruction in their paths.
One of them decided they wanted to play spin the bottle, they are 8 for goodness sake, 8!! When I was 8 of someone had suggested kissing a boy to me I would have hit them over the head with my Barbie.
Eventually I got them to calm down and fed them with Pizza and various other unhealthy things which will make their teeth fall out (that will give them something to scream about) and so I put a DVD on, they watched about 15 minutes and then one little brat decided it would be fun to try and spear the goldfish with an action man pencil. Poor Billy the Fish and Big Dave will never be the same again.

Eventually at 11 0’clock I had, had enough so I went upstairs and told them it was half 12 and put them to bed. They all think I’m ace because they got to stay up past midnight. It’s official, I am now the coolest mum they know….Result!!!

They all got up really early on Saturday and the whole sorry affair started all over again.

The rest of the weekend was spent recovering, and shopping.

And I still can’t find any skinny jeans.

Lesson for the day……If it is raining tie your hair up in a ponytail.
Your hair WILL get wet, your hair WILL go curly, this WILL ruin the rest of your day!!

Mini Man is 8 next week. He is having a birthday sleepover tonight with 6 of his friends. I am well prepared. My fridge freezer is full of pizzas, ice cream, coke, sweets…and wine for me. Think I’m gonna need it.
6 kids high on e numbers, it’s a scary thought. Hubby did think he was gonna get off the hook and go out tonight, I don’t think so!

Will have to go shopping tomorrow and de-stress. I need a pair of skinny jeans to tuck into my gorgeous new pirate boots.

I feel calmer already.

It’s really Autumny today and it’s gorgeous. I love it. Autumn is my favourite season, everything is so crisp and frosty and pretty. It’s exciting because there are lots of things coming up, Halloween, Guy Fawkes, Christmas and most importantly….my birthday!

It’s the big 3 0 on the 1st November. Me and the girlies are hiring a limo and going out dressed as bunny girls to celebrate. Cocktails at my house first, free champagne in the limo, dancing, drinking and general misbehaving….sounds like the perfect recipe for a night out.

Hubby has bought me a diamond eternity ring for my birthday….it only took me 8 years of marriage to get one but I finally managed to grind him down. I dragged him into the jewellers kicking and screaming I have never seen him look so terrified and when it came to actually taking out his wallet and paying for the thing his hands were actually shaking. He says they weren’t but I’m sure they were…either that or the floor was vibrating.
He thinks I don’t know where he has hidden it but I do! I have however been a very good girl and managed to restrain my self from sneaking out of the house with it on when he is not looking. I think I have surprised even him with my self control as I am not known for my patience.
I do sometimes however open the box and have a wee peep………
